Prayer Ministry at St Barnabas
Prayer is an integral part of our faith. We encourage more informal prayer at our Rise and Shine and Prayer and Praise services and offer prayer ministry at our more traditional Communion Services. There is a book at the back of the church for you to write the name anyone you would like prayer for and votive candles for you to light in the Lady Chapel . There is also a prayer board with the votive candles if you wish to write your prayer request or thanksgiving .
We also offer a gentle Healing and Wholeness service on the first Service of the month at 4.30 pm. During the service there is the opportunity to receive laying on of hands with anointing and/or communion or you are welcome to come and just experience this quiet meditative service
We produce a monthly prayer cycle encouraging prayer for all living in the parish, church activities and organisations we support.
We at St Barnabas are here for all. The Church is open every Saturday morning for you to enjoy a “cuppa”- look around the church -use the lady chapel for personal prayer, light a candle, write your prayer.
